Kensington Palace was home to Princess Diana until she died in 1997, Princess Margaret until she died in 2002 and Princess Alice until her death in 2004. Now it is home to HRH, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
In 1981, Apartment #8 and #9 were put together for the newlyweds, Diana and Charles. It has said that Kate has already started designing, even before her marriage to Prince William.
